I graduated from the University of Montana School of law in 2012 where I focused on criminal defense. During that time I was an intern with the Office of the State Public Defender and completed a clinical rotation with the Federal Defenders of Montana.
Upon graduating, I worked for the Public Defender Office in Havre from 2012-2014. In my second year in Havre I became the Deputy Public Defender and managing attorney for a 23,000 sq. mile region. It was my job to ensure that all Montana residents in that region received exceptional legal representation in this rural area.
I moved to the Hamilton in 2014 and recently left public defense to start my own practice.
I am a trial attorney with wide experience including DUI trials, deliberate homicide and more. I am a member of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys and completed National Highway Transportation Safety Authority training to administer standard field sobriety tests.
This is the same training that law enforcement officers receive at all police academies throughout the nation. This is rare training and I am one of only a few to have this training in Western Montana and perhaps the only one in Ravalli County.
